Synopsis
Herman Syden would like to be an ordinary pensioner, enjoying the end of his life in peace.
Yet his past cannot allow that. Herman is a Nazi muderer, according to many, and he has had to live with that tag for most of his life.
Until today.
Acquitted of war crimes, we follow Herman on his return home, innocent. But is he really at peace with himself? And will others ever truly forgive him?
Turning Shadows is a powerful film that questions the role of forgiveness and leaves us unable to answer.
