Visions of Paradise is a powerful, engaging and inspiring biopic of one of America’s most loved and celebrated literary geniuses, Jack Kerouac. As Hemingway’s “The Sun Also Rises” defined his lost generation, “On the Road,” Jack Kerouac’s breakthrough novel of 1957 defined the Beat Generation. Visions of Paradise illustrates what happens to a man whose dreams literary acclaim of are answered and the aftermath they bring.

Visions of Paradise is an emotionally charged journey that charts Jack Kerouac's search for ‘a life worth living’ and vividly depicts the Beat era of Post War America.

The story follows Jack’s life defining moments, from his scholarship to Columbia University where he met Allen Ginsberg, his great contemporary, to Jack’s long and arduous struggle for literary success, his overnight rise to fame and long, iconic reign as 'King of the Beat Generation'.

Visions of Paradise is based on the book Kerouac in Florida: Where the Road Ends, by Bob Kealing

"Being with Kerouac, like reading Kerouac's books themselves, was like being in a movie. Visions of Paradise is a brilliantly constructed script that gives a real sense of what it was like to be with him. It tells the story of his life in a way that is cinematic and doesn't waste a word. I give all my support to this outstanding script and will be happy to create a musical score as well as any other contribution I can make to help Visions of Paradise become a reality and reach a worldwide audience as a classic film of distinction.”

David Amram, a good friend of Jack Kerouac.
